"From my first FujiFilm S2600 with it's 2.3 MP files to my present mirrorless Canon R6, digital photography and editing have become my favourite creative outlet. I've had newer cameras over the years, each a step up, but it's my eye in the viewfinder.""Todays modern editing tools allow anyone to tweak every element of any photo into something usable or interesting, but the true skill is capturing the image you want without all that manipulation, shooting what your eye sees.""I have been blessed to have visited a dozen countries and travelled extensively throughout Canada, I even got to live in Melbourne, Australia for 2 wonderful years, my camera always at hand. Travel has changed everything about how I see the world, and there are amazing things everywhere, I hope you enjoy seeing them as much as I enjoyed taking them."
"Travel changes you, as you move through this life and this world, you change things slightly, you leave marks behind, and in return, life and travel leaves marks on you..."Anthony Bourdain, 2002
A little About Me...
I was a long time private chef, and later IT consultant based in Burlington, Ontario. My enjoyment of digital photography goes back 20+ years, as does my interest in both computers and other technology. My approach is to let the scene tell it's story, maybe a bit of help from zoom or focus, or even better, I see that vista that tells it's own story. Either way, let the scene bring itself to life.
